CSO England undertook an odour control contract in Jizan, Saudi Arabia. CSO provided odour control (based on their Terminodour system), to an underground sewage reception channel. The channel has 18 tanker filling points, which tankers discharge sewage into. The Wastop valves form part of the new tanker discharge arrangement. The tanker discharge
connections comprise a Bauer coupling (which allows the tanker to connect to) and a Wastop valve which allows flow in the normal direction, but prevents odour emission from the channel to atmosphere.
The Wastop valve acts to prevent odour from being release from the storage channel to atmosphere from the tanker filling points, during periods of non filling. 38 WaStop DN110 PVC were installed successfully.
